The beautiful summer weather gave a support with might and main to this year's GLASS TOWN, taking place on 19th - 20th September 2009 in Železný Brod. Always more and more sophisticated project promoted among others by the exhibition of the sculptor and designer Pavel Ježek, the first post-November director of the high school of applied Arts for Glassmaking in Železný Brod proves that our town is inherently adherent to glass and understands to it very well. Detesk company has again actively participated in this project by exposition at school, the programme in glass shop in the centre of the town and by the traditional presentation in Železný Brod´s market place that was enlarged by the installation of classic glass-blower workplace. With pleasure we got over the loss of the reality that skilled professionals have not had a chance to show a lot of their craftsmanship. The reason was the extraordinary public interest, children and young people especially wanted to try this interesting glass-blowing work. The cameras of family members and friends have substantially documented the efforts of the potential glass-blowers and we believe that the shots from the exotic environment in combination with monumental flame of burner will be nice souvenir to this successful project.
